Bit off beat but we are about to embark on a 10th anniversary trip that will start in Hong Kong. I am about to drop a serious amount on a diamond ring ($10-15k - USD) to celebrate. I am wondering if we will get more bang for our buck in HKG than here in the US?

I am cognisant of the fact that we'll probably pay 3% credit card fee and get another hit on exchange rate but are diamonds better priced in HK?

Seems here in US I can get a good 2ct diamond ring of decent color and clarity for that price. What could I get in HKG?
