The Puerto Rican economy has been in the tank, and demand is way down.

The 1x flight appears to operate from 8/28 to 12/15. Then, on 12/16, the switch goes on and 5x daily EWR-SJU returns for the winter season.

I'm not sure where you are staying, but if you are west of SJU or staying in the Condado resort area, you should note that CO continues to offer EWR-BQN service in the evening (8:15pm). BQN is about 90 minutes away on highways.
