Wonderful trip report, Gleff! I also fully agree with your take on Before Sunrise and Before Sunset. And having lived in the Philippines for six years, I got a kick out of your cooking class experience...I love the country and it's people, but the cuisine...
Anyway, another thing I like about your report is the best photos I've seen of CX F, which my wife and I will fly for the first time on a trip from SFO to HKG and on to Bali in a few months. It really gives a good sense of the cabin. A few questions about that experience:
1. I'm looking forward to dining across from her at least once, and would prefer to do as you did but moving across to her seat. But I'm 6'2" and 210 lbs., so am wondering if I'd even fit into that area. I guess I'll find out for myself, but am still curious on your take on this.
2. Did I understand you correctly in a comment mentioning that the two of you could fit together side by side on a seat? If so, I assume there's no way to watch a movie together, since there's just a headset for one person, right?
3. Finally, I noticed your and other folks' comments about the Chinese dishes being better than the Western ones. Having flown CX in J a number of times, the food (whether Chinese or Western) is about the only aspect of the CX experience that I've found only so-so. Am I correct in assuming that F isn't much better, but that (at least in your opinion) the Chinese is at least ok and the Western dishes pretty bad?
Again, a great report. Looking forward to your comments and photos on BA in F.
