We had afternoon tea there last summer, killing time before an early evening flight. It was extensive and excellent, with a number of buffet tables with different offerings. The view over the water was lovely.
We asked to see a couple rooms, thought them acceptable, but not exceptional. While this hotel is certainly the best in the country, it seemed to me to be more of a solid Marriott or Westin, and not a luxury hotel.
We stayed at the Sheraton, a rather simple property downtown, which has now left the Starwood chain.
