La Villette is only 4-5 metro stops from Gare du Nord and has some decent sized rooms, the hotel is immediately next to the metro exit. There have also been a couple of new Holiday Inn openings recently in central Paris which means new, shiny hotels at presumably good rates as they try to ramp up business - the Priority Club boad will have more.
