At some point, someone on the DL side stated that there was a policy to offer the elite baggage allowance to FB elites. However, I have never been able to find something in writing on dl.com. (Nor does AF/KL state anything about DL elites on their pages).
We shall see if it ever gets stated, but I have indeed noticed that the system now seems to recognize FB status for luggage allowances (which was not the case last year).

That would be an improvement. Last year I was so irritated with this stupid policy that only the airline's Elite card holders got this free. Wrote to both Delta and KLM and got the same reply that it was the policy than and both parties could not do anything.
Anyway, what I suspect is due to the merger of DL/NW now finally completed, this could be a consequence of that.
But I guess as long as it is not written down anywhere, this could just be some glitch in the system until it is solved.
