Missed flight due to doors being shut 20 mins before flight -- what is policy?
I missed an AE flight last Fri (JAX-MIA) due to the fact that they shut the doors at 1.39 PM for a 2 PM flight and pushed back from the gate at 1.49 PM. I find this totally unacceptable as I was a ticketed EXP. I called the EXP desk a few times to complain but didn't get a clear answer on what the policy is on early departures. It sounded to me like agents are supposed to wait for ticketed PAX but never really got them to say that.
Should I demand compensation since I had to rebook to get to NYC.
