You've heard of love triangles right? While there doesn't appear to be any love lost between AirTran, Midwest, and Frontier, could they put their differences aside and consider a merger?
AirTran CEO said carrier would consider offers to merge...
While probably a far fetched idea, it does have some merit. Hubs in ATL, MKE, and DEN seem to offer lots of operational opportunities. It's route network would be enticing to foreign carriers for code-sharing. And, selfishly, I for one would love to see AirTran's business class seats put on Frontier's planes. While I appreciate Frontier's new stretch seating, it doesn't hold a candle to the AirTran business class product (or any legacy carrier's first class).
So, what do you think? Could anyone see Bedford and Fornaro put their differences aside to work as a single entity?
