Hi!

I was checking my AA account after a recent trip. I went from SJC --> DFW --> OMA which was about 1500 and 500 miles. On the return flight, it was the same routing but opposite direction OMA --> DFW --> SJC and I only received 1418 miles. It was the same flight # throughout, however it went through DFW.

My question is should I receive miles like my outbound flight? I know it's only about 500 miles difference, but I'd like to know for future reference.
