We flew in F with our 1 year old and didn't bother with the Bassinet/cot.
F seats were roomy enough to sleep beside the wee one (she preferred to cuddle up with her mum anyway). We had 1K pre-assiged, I took 2K, however 1A was free so used that instead.

We had a great flight - great crew made all the difference. (as we were a bit apprehensive on the reaction we would get taking a baby in F, however she was well behaved and the crew were top notch. Allowed us to take the stroller on board which helped on arrival at MIA.
