Question: are you including the cost of the mini-cabs (in both directions) in the USD 350 total, or is USD 350 the cost of the rooms only? If the latter, the cost differential shrinks, of course.

If it were me, I'd cough up the the USD 150 and opt for the Sofitel. Eliminating hassles is important to me whenever possible when traveling, as long as the cost is wildly outrageous. To me, a USD 50 per person "convenience surcharge", while significant, is within the boundaries of rationality.

Also, you didn't mention your class of travel or any possible oneWorld status; if you have lounge privileges, you can take your breakfast in one of the BA lounges.
