Kind of like walking down the street to work and some guy bonks you over the head. When you say something to him he bows, apologizes (very genuinely) and gives you a dollar for a free cup of coffee. The next day he does it again, apologizes again, and buys you another cup of coffee. Again on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th days. The apologies are nice and all, but at what point should he fix his bonking...
