I think you guys are missing a big cause of the confusion. One of the *G benefits is supposed to be priority boarding. On every other *A alliance I've ever flown on that means boarding at your leisure. UA is the only *A airline I've ever seen tell *G passengers to go to the back of the line.
*G does get priority boarding....
priority over 1, 2, 3, and 4.
IMhO, priority is not synonymous with first to board.
As far as other *A carriers, IME on CO and US as a *G I had gotten to board before general boarding, but after thier top tier elies (Elite access and Zone1... maybe 2, respectively). Can't say for TG, SQ or NH as I have not been on them in over 4 years)
