Hi,

Have a few questions about this trip and so thought i would post here in my original thread from a year ago.

My how things have changed.... It is not now a 'speculative' trip for 2 in J pending on Miles, but a trip for 4 in F, miles banked and just awaiting the second 2-4-1. Big thanks once again to the likes of 'Raffles' and 'Paul.Goffin' for thier help, without them this may not have been possible.

Ok so...

1) How exactly to trigger the 2-4-1 ASAP?: Looking to fly out in August of next year and i know availability can be tough enough as it is in the summer so i am keen to trigger my 2nd 2-4-1 and book as soon as possible. My new PP+ starts mid Aug this year so besides putting through a few k on the paypal, what else can i do? I have seen the concept of booking and cancelling a fully refundable flight thrown around although i am not sure exactly how this would work?

2) Taking over the CCR & F cabin?: Basically, there may be a few other mates who want to join us on this trip. They will need to slum it in WT however i understand that the 4 of us in F can each guest someone into the CCR and invite them into the F cabin for a drink so we could share the F experience with them. I am wondering if there are any restrictions here? Can the guests dine in the CCR? Can we have them all in the F cabin at the same time for there drink? I doubt this although it would be good(& give me a personal feeling of satisfaction having literally wangled upto 7 friends into First Class)

3) Vegas, Cabo, Hawaii?: I am not too sure exactly how the stopover rule works. Am i correct that we can not tag a Vegas flight on to this because a) BA fly direct to Vegas and therefore this is not classed as a stopover and b) because they do not offer an F cabin on the Vegas route? As for Hawaii and somewhere on W.Coast Mexico such as Cabo, am i correct in saying i could not tag on a stopover because a 2-4-1 redemption as to be on BA metal?

4) Of course i know there is no actual 'certain' answers to these next 2 questions however i thought i would ask anyway and your insight is better than mine. What would availability be like for 4 F seats in Aug to LAX booking from say December? Also, what is the likelyhood that we will get to fly new F?


I know i could find some of answers buried in other threads however as i had a few questions i was hoping somebody wiill have them all for me and save me the work.

Lastly, if anyone is So Cal based or has any pulling power with tourist products that might be of interest then do feel free to let me know. I want this to be the perfect trip. Already working on hotel points for a suite in Vegas, have pitch side VIP seats to an Angels game and might have access through a family friend to some secret room at Dinseyland(where you can drink). Would be amazing if we could do and see a few more things in that syle
