Sunset in July is pretty late (~8p). There's a flag-lowering ceremony on TS (across from the FC gate). Probably too late to stay around for (it takes about 15 minutes). Soldiers walk out from FC, across Chang'An Blvd, march around the flag, lower it, fold it, and walk back. Traffic is completely stopped during this time. Kind of neat, although you can probably see it on YouTube.
Anyway, long story short, there's a fair amount of activity until that ends, and even after that.
