My understanding of the recommended approach is to search for availability using ANA's website, and then redeem through Aeroplan, ANA or Continental depending on the mileage requirements. I would start with this thread:

I believe you need to search segment-by-segment because (for example) the flights from MCI to the gateway city may not include the class of service you are searching for the international portion.
