See posts by SanDiego 1K and cozkay for examples on the contrary. There are some hotel chains that may guarantee late checkout. Hyatt obviously is NOT one of them.

People's experience vary. But the point is a late request can be denied as it is not a published benefit of GP membership. A GP member or elite cannot claim the right to late checkout since such benefit was never conferred.

It is expressly FALSE that late checkout is a published benefit of GP membership. Hyatt merely extends the ability to request a late checkout to its entry-level members. I am not even certain that this is all very significant. Of course even non members may just pick up the phone and request a late check-out.

The OP should not be misled by thinking that s/he is entitled to a late checkout when s/he is NOT.. However, we would all encourage her/him to request one when at the property. If late check-out is really important to the OP, then s/he may also find out in advance (a day or two) what the occupancy is to see the likelihood of a late checkout. Of course there are also other options such as booking for an extra night etc.

Such statistic can only be given after polling. For now, lets settle for something more modest as even diamond members get denied late-checkout requests. A better answer to the OP's question would be: Yes, but late check-out depends on the hotel's ability to honor such requests.

Good luck to OP; may the FT and late check-out spirits be with you !
