June is the SIXTH MONTH, meaning it is still the first half of the year. July is the seventh month, meaning it is the first month of the second half of the year. The cutoff for most of the programs should be July 1, NOT June 1 to be covered by the remainder of 2010, all of 2011, and through the end of February 2012.

Delta was the same way, if you did a status match on Delta before July 1, you had to accumulate all of your travel before December 31 for the following year's qualifying miles for your status, but if you did status match after July 1, you were good through February 28 of the year following the next year, or up to approximately 20 months total. (6 months after July 1+ 12 months + 2 months (Jan, Feb) = 20 months).
