I've stayed in both. Yes, parking is a pain at both. And expensive. And expect to get towed rather quickly if you park wrong.
They are side by side, as pointed out. Of the two, I prefer the CP.
While on the beach, and on the "boardwalk", they are both a drop removed from downtown or other tourist sites. You can walk to a McDonalds and the US Embasy easily, the McDonalds the best of a beach front location and a teen hangout. THere are numerous places to eat along the beach front. Friday nights feature Israeli Folk Dancing immeidately in back of the hotel. (both).
I choose the CP because of staff, room size, modernity. Views, in either case, are better with a Southern exposure versus a Northern exposure. Killer sunsets!
Both properties are 100% tourist destinations. I have switched to the other Crown Plaza, which is more downtown and actually built attached to a major mall. Something to consider. More business traveler oriented, and perhaps a drop more hebrew oriented.
