Requesting a late check-out is NOT the same thing as being guaranteed a late check out. GP elites may simply "request" a late check out and if possible are often awarded just that. Everyone's experience here will vary not only because of the difference in elite status but also the ability of a hotel to honor and grant such requests.

There is NOTHING in the published benefits for GP members that grants or guarantees a late check out. What is provided for is only our ability to request for one. Therefore GP elites must not fool themselves for an entitlement for late-checkout.
