Hi everyone,

This August, I'll be taking my first A380 flight from JFK to CDG on AF7. I'm booked in Y, and just wanted to see if anyone had advice on which seat to choose.

At the moment, I'll be sitting in 86L, chosen because it's on the upper deck, in 2-4-2 configuration. I also looked at row 45 (either seat A or L) on the main deck as it seems to be an exit row. However, I have no status on any Skyteam carrier so it seems suspicious that I can reserve that seat without paying extra.

Are there any other options I should be aware of? Is there anywhere that's quieter, roomier, or better in any other way? Which seats should I try to avoid?
