It looks like I will make Plat as well this year. My next two trips are as follow:
TPA-DFW-LAX - AA - 2166 miles
LAX-HKG - CP - 7246
HKG-SFO - CP - 6913
SFO-YVR - AlaskaAir - 800
SAN-DFW-TPA -AA - 2100
Month later:
TPA-DFW-LGW - AA - 5700
LGW-DFW-TPA - AA - 5700

I will have enough miles to qualify the standard way, but here's the question:
What if any advantage I would have doing the challange? The 2 above trips will be within 3 months.
