I am going to be traveling on American Airlines (domestic only) shortly and wanted to know if its okay to just color xerox copy the original birth certificate for our lap infant (will be 23.5 months during travel) in case I get questioned about his age I wanted to keep a copy with me. When I called the airline the woman said I didn't need to bring any form of ID for my children--so would the photocopy be sufficient just in case?
