I have searched the forum and am a bit confused and overwhelmed. I admit, I have not had time to research Paris itself as I have had a crazy couple weeks. I am meeting my husband in Brussels and we are carrying on to Paris.

I would really appreciate some suggestions of hotels in the touristy area or close to transportation where we can get to them. We will be there for about three days. We're not looking for luxury, moderate price is best for us, but can dip over into higher price since it's a once in a lifetime trip.

I just don't know where to start as I don't know the areas. Kayak has brought up many choices, but doesn't seem to focus on proximity to tourist spots. Am I missing something? I'm on a real time crunch and thought this trip wouldn't happen b/c of the BA strike (I planned to use points). Wound up paying for a ticket on AA just a few days ago after thinking I wasn't able to go.

Alternatively, if names of areas to search are provided, that will help immensely for me to search and narrow down where to stay.
