Probably a stupid question, as I'm complete new to the SPG...

It's a question regarding the SPG free weekend promo. I have three stays coming up which will entitle me to the free weekend certificate.

Of course I already have plans to use this, however, I want to use it a week after I have had my third qualifying stay. Then, there might not be rooms available. So - I was thinking if it is possible to book the room in advance, using the certificate - which I have not yet "earned". Is that possible?
