Assuming the flights are all on UA metal, I can't say I've ever seen this.

Because they (correctly) figure that 99% of people don't care which bucket they get - they want the cheapest fare that fits their parameters. In fact, I'm surprised they haven't removed the M/H search since all fares are now upgradeable, but I guess they have bigger fish to fry.
