If the data were accurate and put to effective use, I'd have no problem. IME (various levels of government) most of the time these things are collected just for the sake of collection (and appearances), briefly browsed then filed away for ever.

The problem is that the TSA is the one collecting the data. Someone else needs to be doing it.
