My wife and I are planning to visit Europe this summer and have few visa questions for clarification. I am a US Citizen and British Citizen with both a US and UK passport. My wife is an Indian Citizen with an Indian Passport and US legal resident with a US Green Card.

Our primary visit is to the UK and will visit several other countries during our trip as well. I am okay since I have a US and UK passport. However, I am trying to figure out what is required for my wife.

1) My wife has already applied for a UK visa.
2) Is a visa also required for the other European countries? (France, Germany, Italy, Spain).
3) I have read something about a Schengen visa. Is that what I need?
