To give you an idea: if I look at Renfe’s website for a ticket for this afternoon it gives me a price of 80,70 € in “turista” (currently 101,50 $). This is the price that you would pay when buying in the station. But there is no availability before 17:45.
So it would be slightly more expensive, and you would have to be flexible and willing to leave later than planned. (Or buy a ticket in “preferente”; they now sell at 121 € (152 $) for today.)
