Personally, I just love those 'fighter jet' approaches. Makes you feel like you're really flying! They're even better in smaller aircraft. Remember, they just seem faster, 'cos they're smaller..

Also, am I the only person that enjoys a bit of 'light chop' when I'm flying? Nothing worse than a totally smooth flight. I actually enjoy the sensations of flying. Does that make me a freak? (thinks...'yeah, probably..')

I've also enjoy my share of missed approaches -
MD11 DFW-JFK, diverting to Atlantic City, aborted landing, proceeded to JFK as planned. Full-throttle power-out in an MD11...fantastic!

A310-300 DXB-LHR, aborted landing at LHR due to fog, diverted to MAN. I was in the cockpit jumpseat, amazing touch-and-go, 110% power setting after the Captain hit the 'TO/GA' (Take-off/Go-Around) switch.

777-200ER DFW-LGW (BA), aborted landing at LGW, due to Air Malta 737 taxiing onto the runway in front of us. This was the most fun, have you ever felt 110% power in a GE90-powered 777? Amazing!
