sometimes it makes a big difference & sometimes the difference is very little....take for example a 9w award in première, leaving del on the 16th of july & coming back from lhr on the 23rd of july:

del - lhr (one way) is inr 9,871

lhr - del (one way) is £203.47 (approx inr 13,800)

del - lhr (return) is inr 26,122

lhr - delhi (return on similar dates) in £308.47 (approx inr 20,900)

if i booked 2 one way tickets then i would save a little over inr 2,000....sometimes a saving that is so little is not worth the hassal of having to explain to the immigration agent why you bought 2 seperate one way tickets (i have been stuck in this situation once)....
