I ask because I'm a hard contact lens wearer and I'm unable to use saline solution for my contacts, so I can't exactly run the risk of having my solution discarded for any reason. Yes, if I'm traveling domestically, I can improvise while airside and can get to a Target, Wal-Mart or other store of that nature to find my solution upon arrival, but if I'm traveling internationally...I'm not willing to take that much of a risk.

In case you're not aware, hard contact lenses require separate cleansing and conditioning solutions...the cleansing solution I use isn't a problem for the TSA, since the biggest container is only 1 oz., but my conditioning solution's largest bottle is 4 oz. Yes, they make smaller bottles, but it's in a "travel kit" and I find it silly to buy the kit (which is almost the same price as one full size bottle of conditioning solution) just for a travel sized bottle of my conditioning solution.
Why don't you buy the full size bottle of the conditioning solution and the small less than 3.4 oz empty bottles they sell at Walmart for this kind of situation. Put the conditioning solution in the empty bottle and off you go. I am sure I am missing something as to why this wouldn't work. I don't wear contacts can't stand putting something in my eyes so I stick with my glasses.
