Indeed, MFU is great value and the West Coast of the States or Canada is even better value if you're planning on going to N America. Lets hope the new future of the BAEC will still allow them.

We found our upgrade redemption fantastic value. GLA->LHR->SFO and return in Club for 25,000 miles each. Paid for CW in £s for our honeymoon in Mauritius a couple of years ago and I think we'd built the experience up so much in our minds the reality of finally going up the stairs was slightly disappointing compared to how much it had cost.

Where as going up stairs for 25,000 points and no cash felt a lot more special.
