That would be a Jazzie question. CRJ's haven't been in mainline fleet for years, and despite having operated them (for years), cannot recall if there was a volume control.
On Dash 8 100/300s and CRJ100/200s we cannont controll the volume of the pre-recorded system, its set my maintance and can only be changed by maintance.
On the CRJ705 it depends on if the Incharge is useing the IFE system or the PBS to make the announcements. If they are useing the IFE then the volume can be changed, if how ever they are useing the PBS, then same as the rest of the fleet, it can only be changed by maintance.
If there is a problem let us know and at least we will snag the system so maintance can deal with it on the next turn.
