Barclays

Had to complain to barclays about the Barclays run HHonors card. The response to my complaint letter was that on "this occasion we are unable to help with your enquiry as we do not have a HHonors credit card" and that I should contact Hilton. Complaints manager was a just a little embarrassed when I sent a fax of the credit card documentation with "managed by Barclays" as the footnote on the page.

This plus credit card fraud on a Barclaycard that had been issued but that I had not used anywhere. The only place the number could have been stolen from is internally.

Now try to avoid Barclays at all costs.

HSBC Premier ^

The HSBC premier team is fantastic, couldn't be more helpful (I use the main UK call centre in Wales).

Some branch staff and the other departments at HSBC not so good. Very slow at sorting out problems and mistakes have been made frequently- though the premier team have always sorted them out when I have raised the problem with them.
