I've had some miles sitting in my account for a while now and would like to spend them. I'm keen to get the best value for them. Any tips?

I was also looking at getting an upgrade on an economy flight to Bangkok in October. Does anyone know if this route has very few reward seats? Would I be better going with a partner airline?
