Personally I find them to be a bit on the quiet side, because either my ears are popping (during descent), or the APU is spinning up the engines (during pushback) which makes a lot of noise after being in relative quiet.

On the Jazz Dash8's, the volume has been, in some cases, so low as to be barely audible.
