Not a spent bullet, but recently the security at AMS Schipol got excited and made my wife remove her keychain from her purse, and then removed one of these: from her keychain, had a supervisor come over, discussed it between them, returned it and advised her not to carry that through the airport again ! You can't always tell what will set them off.
