Only if the lounge dragon goes into another sytem to check your FB status, would they find out.

I don't know but once, a few years ago, I (platinum) was flying YUL-CDG in Y with 2 other people. One was silver and one was gold at time of booking but was downgraded to silver at the time of the flight. We did OLCI and gold status was written on the BP of my 2nd companion. So I thought that we could all go to the lounge (as a platinum member, I could invite the 1st silver guest). But the lounge dragon scanned the BP and saw that the gold pax has been downgraded to silver and was denied entry.
