I checked, and with the AAA discount, Los Angeles to DEN can be done for about $400/wk, without RQ DRIVE, especially if you pick up from a neighborhood store.
Just realized, this might have been the cheapest rental, and not a small SUV like I'm trying to book. That could explain the price difference.
