I checked with CSA and my policy (because of when I purchased it and when I'm traveling) will cover me in the event of ash cloud related problems and even possible future strikes if Unite goes beyond June's already scheduled strike days (I purchased 4 days before they announced so I'm covered). I'm not going to worry myself about the connection in ORD. I've been assured I'll be taken care of if the airlines don't. Hopefully, for my sake and many others that volcano will calm down or the winds shift favorably away from UK and Europe this summer.
