Um... Background checks don't do anything. As we have seen from the multiple TSOs arrested for varying crimes. I guess we should feel much safer since they were all background checked

How can you "thank god" for being protected by TSA each time you fly? Have you read the news lately? Did you hear how much TSA has not been able to detect with regards to bomb making components? Wasn't it a 50%++ failure rate? Sure, feel safe with a failing agency doing nothing to protect you. TSA = A $%$#^ WASTE OF OUR TAX DOLLARS!

As has been said ad nauseum in this forum, background checks are not a predictor of future behavior. If a person has nothing on their background that shows a problem, there's nothing to indicate a future repeat of that problem.
