I used to know one of them -- he was checked in Mariott properties
more than 365 days/year. He would work on site for several months, then move to another site and spend several months there. He would work 4 or 5 day weeks on location and leave himself checked in at the remote RI when he flew home for the weekends. Several times a year, he would meet his spouse at a vacation spot and spend that particular weekend there, checked into another Marriott property (on points, obviously) while he was still checked into the RI that he was staying at.
His Plat Premier lifestyle was not something I wish to emulate!
