AEP is the city/downtown airport. It's smaller, and much much closer to downtown. It's mostly a domestic airport so there's no entry fee for example. In general LAN is nice and if i were you i'd just take the LAN GRU-AEP leg. Call BA and try and get them to put you in premium economy.
I've never officially sat in the 'premium economy' section, but I normally try to book an aisle or window with an empty middle near the front of the aircraft. Fold the table down from the middle seat (it's the center cushion) and reach under the armrests, push a lever, and the armrest pushes out an inch or two, fully converting your seat into one of the 'premium economy' ones, and for free too.
