I booked in this flight for tomorrow because it was less than half AA or DL and about 1/3 JJ.

I could not choose seats, so I called. the agent told me the front row on the 767 are "lie-flat" seats that they sell for $300 each way extra, and that the others were not "lie flat". The website alludes to a 170 degree pitch.

What was she talking about? is Envoy something less than Business class? Seems like it must be since it prices out not much more than typical typical AA and DL economy at the moment.

Now that JJ is in *A I was thinking of trying all the other *A carriers to/from Rio but I am now feeling nervous since I cannot even make a seat assignment. I have never experienced an inability to make a long-haul business class seat assignment.
