Just checked in at a little bit before noontime. Check-in was very quick- less than a minute! I was assigned room #1217; "you've been upgraded to one of our enhanced lake view room". The room is indeed facing the lake, just a shy taller than the water tower. There is one window facing the Peninsula. The bathroom doesn't have a window overlooking the lake, but it has a big hot tub and a shower with two windows facing the Peninsula.

Not really much explanation given about the hotel except that "all of the activities are located on the 7th floor." I did tell them that I would like for the amenities to be delivered later on tonight. As FD agent escorted me to the elevator, he offered some suggestion of a "good and nice wine to enjoy in the hot Chicago weather."
