Well I called AA, and was wait-listed for on the JFK-LHR segment for a miles+copay upgrade. I asked the representative about how things would work with sticker upgrades on the domestic segment, and she said that she would be removing my request for a sticker upgrade on the SEA-JFK (which she did), as the mikes+copay upgrade would cover that segment without the need to spend stickers. My thought however is that I should go ahead and request the sticker upgrade on that segment again through the website, as it confirms my place on the list for upgrades on that segment, and if I need to request that the stickers be given back assuming my JFK-LHR upgrade comes through I'm fine with that, the stickers certainly won't go to waste. My thought is that I'd rather slide into F on a 757 for the domestic portion if I'm stuck in Y on the TATL rather than risk Y on both segments because my international upgrade didn't clear. Does that sound reasonable? Or should I stick with her plan and lay off requesting the domestic upgrade at this time? Thanks for everyone's help!
