The bottom picture appears to feature some sort of raw fish? If so, and if not catered in Japan, I would steer clear.

I guess food quality is highly subjective. In other words, for me, the stuff AS dishes out on my PDX-SFO flights is far more attractive than anything I've ever seen on a Chinese airline, but I realize that there are millions of people out there, particularly in China, that disagree. In any event, regardless of my class of service, I try to bring my own fare on board when traveling in China.
