That's a standby adding a connection followed by a standby from the new connection that eliminates what was previously a connection.

I'm not worried about either the fees or the probability of the success of the stand bys, rather making sure that BOS is considered a connection and not a destination and that the changes are subsequently allowed.

*The goal would be to get most of the miles but on a 763 with a much better chance of an upgrade than on a 738 or 757.

I'm willing to bet that will not be allowed as the fare is a SBA-BOS_SBA fare not a SBA-JFK-SBA fare. I think you will be made to go to BOS.
