This is just absolutely CRAZY. When did this insanity come in, and why? (.
Just check this thread http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/klm-f...-security.html (I hope I copied the link how it should be).

I had the usual habit, water for the plane but also buying coke zeros when traveling to countries where I know they are not available (bad habit, yes I know). But thanks to this particular TV program, Schiphol has not allowed any drinking bottles to be sold in the non-Shengen area. Wine and liquor bottles now have a plastic cap on them - hope they will do the same with water (and coke zero) bottles soon. But read the previous thread - it explains better what happened. It is crazy - and I am sure we have to deal with much, much more in the years/months to come.............

A tip - bring an empty bottle with you. Some gates have bathrooms after the security check; otherwise you can get water on the planes. Even the water in the toilets are now drinkable. And if you ask a FA to fill it up and explain you need it for medication, I know for a fact they are happy to help out.
